Rust-O on the Road: Graffiti Hall of Fame's 45th Anniversary

Well, that was fun. Last week the Rust- O crew celebrated the 45th Anniversary of the legendary Graffiti Hall of Fame at East Harlem's Jackie Robinson Educational Complex.
And let’s be real. The Graffiti Hall of Fame isn't just another art event. It’s an iconic staple that brings legends and emerging talents together to celebrate graffiti art through artistic expression.
And we helped fuel that creativity with over 400 cans of premium Rust-O Artist Spray Paint on hand.
The Graffiti Hall of Fame: Where Street Art Legends Are Born
So what makes this event so legendary? First, a quick history lesson. Since 1980, the Graffiti Hall of Fame has served as the ultimate proving ground for street art status. Founded by community leader Ray "Sting Ray" Rodriguez, this East Harlem playground transformed from a local hangout spot into a global destination for the world's most talented graffiti artists.
The event's motto, "Strictly Kings and Better," sets expectation for artists willing to showcase their skills. Only the most accomplished artists dare to pick up their spray paint cans and attempt to earn their place on these historic walls.
And this year's event lived up to that reputation, drawing talent from every corner of the globe.
Rust-O’s First Experience with the Graffiti Hall of Fame
While Rust-Oleum has been a part of the street art scene for decades, it’s new line of artist-focused spray paint (Rust-O) is just getting started. With that in mind, Rust-O found the perfect opportunity to embrace and support this historic event, proudly sponsorship the 45th anniversary celebration.
With the Rust-O van filled to the brim with 400 cans of Rust-O spray paint (and 2,000 ice pops), the crew engaged with over 10,000 attendees, providing the materials to fuel their artistic creativity – and keep them cool. It was hot!
And at the center of it all was Atlanta artist, Mister Totemm (@mistertotem2), who served as the perfect showcase for Rust-O's best spray paint performance with his on-site masterpiece. His artwork captured the essence of what makes the Graffiti Hall of Fame special—bold creativity meeting technical excellence.
All in all, it was great event. The energy was electric, the vibes were up, and the creativity was flowing.
Next up, the Rust-O crew has its GPS pointed towards Boone Avenue Walls Art Festival in The Bronx, New York City.
